Linchpin SE provided the structural engineering design for the fire station located in Cold Springs, Nevada. The project was completed in 2005 with a cost of approximately $2,400,000. The project made a major impact by cutting down response times in the northern Truckee Meadows area.
After the building, located in Bodie State Historic Park suffered extensive damage during a pair of 5.7 earthquakes in December 2016, Linchpin provided a seismic evaluation and upgrade design to California State Parks. The work accompanied several repairs for deterioration of the building that were ongoing.

Linchpin engineered and prepared full Construction Documents for the local Public Utility District for this offsite facility. The structure was designed to remain fully operational under any anticipated loading, including extreme wind and snow events and maximum considered earthquakes. The structure includes reinforced masonry walls, steel frames and a trussed roof.
