After localized roof failure shut the hut, the Sierra Club issued a Request for Qualifications seeking a structural engineer experienced with structural rehabilitation, heavy snow, historic preservation, and seismic evaluation.
Linchpin was selected by the club to develop structural upgrades for the roof as well as design mitigation measures for the unreinforced masonry walls.
